Shaista Qureshi, MD, MBBS, FAAFP, is a board-certified family medicine physician and nationally recognized educator with more than two decades of experience in full-scope family medicine, women’s health, obstetrics and graduate medical education. Dr. Qureshi is the founding program director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at St. Francis, where she is dedicated to training the next generation of physicians while providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families. 

Dr. Qureshi earned her medical degree from Fatima Jinnah Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed residency training in family medicine at Columbia University’s Stamford Hospital, followed by a fellowship in advanced women’s health and high-risk obstetrics at UTMB-Galveston. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching and leadership throughout her career.
